I was thinking of commissioning a plaque "Here marks the spot where the Chairman fell...". I am sure the membership would support this initiative Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes lol!

Indeed! Although I missed it, I saw the skidmarks! lol!

There may be a slight change to the format. although this won't change the final, we will still battle this out over 2 rounds at the Kent Open weekend - keep the weekend of the 13th & 14th November free....

Can you give any more details of this weekend? I am not free on the 13th but I will be free on Sunday 14th November.

13th will be the KIT final - 14th the Kent Open. Likely venue Sidcup - I am meeting the manager again tomorrow to discuss various things (the KIT & KO being one of them). All being well we will also get a date in the diary between now and the 13th for a proper KIT day at the venue.

Tony, that's great news regarding Nov. I may well pop over to the Green tonight - I have a couple of tweaks to the KIT format and be good to agree with all the KMGC there (I think most of the usual suspects are making their way over tonight). See you later!

A very good day at the green today. The scores were:

Michael 31 Adam 30 Tony 38
Michael 33 Adam 39 Tony 36
Michael 36 Adam 47 Tony 43
Michael 30 Adam 35 Tony 35
Michael 34 Adam 39 Tony 34
Michael 29 Adam 36 Tony 36
Michael 33 Adam 29 Tony 38

And before anyone asks anything cheeky, yes, all the scores are genuine, the 29s are not made up, and yes, we played the course on HARD mode.

Some of the rounds we played as a three, others we played with James and some of the juniors from the green. They expressed an interest in joining the KIT as guests. Obviously that is your decision Sean. Their scores whilst playing with us so would be eligible for the KIT were:

James 38, 43, 43,
Guisseppe 44, 46,
Julio 45, 45,
Seth 36

Thanks to Tony and Adam for a fantastic day. Very well played Adam on equalling the course record. All of us 'older' players could be in trouble very soon, the way his game is developing. Awesome performance.

lol!

Awesome play from Michael and Adam, sorry I couldn't keep up with you but those 29s were just incredible.

Some of the juniors at The Green are coming along really well. Julio shot a 29 on the hard settings last week and James, who has been helping out at the course for the last two weeks, has already hit a 33 on the hard settings and a 32 including ten aces on the easy.

2 kit rounds played late yesterday. Adam's score coming down again.

Adam 42 Tony 42 Michael 34
Adam 32 Tony 36 Michael 34

Had a quick spin up to Sidders before work today, only got to play the Mateleys course. It's very similar to New Malden as you'd expect ie: long holes with not many rebound shots so a good test of putting rather than ball choice etc.
Tips: You don't need many balls, I used a golfball, clicker, Dodo & course ball.
DO NOT play into the water feature type thing on the right of hole 3 (those that played New Malden understand) I lost a clicker due to it being blocked up, had to give one of the workers there a couple of quid to get a long pipe to get it back! Smile
Also, same on hole 17, use their course ball, minigolf balls get stuck in the pipes, strangely their balls always come out. Hole 18 I used their ball as dropping a putt sends the ball into a well. Sean said it'll be blocked for the comp but minigolf balls aren't really an advantage.
Interesting stuff, I predict a BMGA record of 33-34.

I agree it's a real test of putting rather than ball choice. 3 or 4 balls should do it. Might pop over there on Thursday to give it a once over... then time for some serious practice on Sat before the KIT!!
