The Sidcup Christmas Challenge - Sunday 29th December

Subject to the weather, a few of us have been discussing having a friendly get together at Sidcup on Sunday 29th December meet at 10.00am ish

So far:

Have indicated that they may attend

I know it's a busy time, but if anyone else can make it you are more than welcome.

Initially thinking of 4 rounds; something like -

Rd 1. any ball (incorporating HCP challenge, players hcp* in () above)
Rd 2. single ball (players choice, incorporating HCP challenge, players hcp* in () above)
Rd 3. Pinky Challenge
Rd 4. drawn pairs (single ball in play)

* hcp based on all rounds played in 2013

also looking to play both courses....10.30am start


There may be a festive prize for each round winner, but don't get too excited.

Sounds fun. I hope to make it. A good way of shaking off the minigolfing equivalent of cold turkey and ensuring I don't go a whole calendar month without getting my putter out of the bag.

These numbers appear to be handicap scores... Which begs the question, who is Sheila?!?

Idea: rather than having a handicapping system why not have 4 teams of 3 (or whatever it turns out to be) and we draw teams in pots as in the World Cup - ie cat 1 bowl, 2, 3.

Just a thought. Sometimes handicapping systems are a bit random and this will give a bit of team spirit.

Still can't believe I went round with a Pinky (a ball I had never hit before I played the opening tee shot) in 37.
