The 2015 WORLD ADVENTURE GOLF MASTERS (WAGM) WAS contested for the fourth year at the Pirate Course in Hastings, across the weekend of 6/7 June.
After 2 days of thrilling competition, Martin Stöckle (Germany) was crowned the World Adventure Golf Masters champion, winning his third WAGM title in 5 years and seeing Germany win all 5 titles since the tournament started in 2011.
Great Britain's Michael Smith came second, one shot behind Martin, having equalled the all time course record of 24 on day one. Oliver Rathjens (Germany) picked up the bronze medal having beaten Filiph Svensson (Sweden) in a sudden death play off.
The Team competition saw Germany once again win the title (making it 5 wins in 5 years) with Sweden in 2nd and Great Britain in 3rd place.
Other winners over the weekend saw Chris Harding (Great Britain) win the senior category title, Will Donnelly (Great Britain) win the Junior title and Martin pick up the general class title (the category titles being decided after 6 rounds of the event).
The BMGA would like to thank all the competitors for making the event such a success, Marion Homer (Tournament Director) for running a seamless and excellent competition, Simon Tompkins and the team at Hastings Adventure Golf for providing us with a top class venue and hospitality for the event and all at the White Rock Hotel for their ongoing support of the WAGM in Hastings.
