We have a couple of teams already lined up from the KMGC:

THE STABBING PAINS (Marc & Anna) & CASUAL FORCE (Sean & Marion).

FINAL CALL FOR DOUBLES TEAMS!

The Doubles championships takes place on Sunday and we have 3 potential team spaces available for the tournament. If you wish to enter (and haven't yet put you and your team mates names in the hat) then please contact us on membership@minigolf.org.uk ASAP to guarantee your place in the competition.

Had a wonder down to the course this evening to have a quick look - nice looking course, great location, and some interesting holes - looking forward to giving it a bit of a workout tomorrow with DT!

The draw for the group stages of the doubles took place today at the Boscombe minigolf course.

Owen 'Jackpot' Johnson drew the names out of the hat under the watchful gaze of BMGA chairman Sean Homer, Membership officer Marion Homer, Tournament Officer Ted McIver, Media Officer Richard Gottfried, alongside Paul Johnson and Jam Trubridge.

The groups are as follows:

p.s. what happened to Chas & Dave?

The group is not too bad - top 2 from each group progress to fight out the top 8 places in qtr/semi & final match ups. All being well, Casual Force and Stabbing Pains will meet up again in the final.

The rest of the group teams will be fighting for 9th to 17th places - all pairings will play the same number of games.

As for Chas & Dave - Tel sent through his entry form with TNT (Tel and TOny) with a note that when they are together they are dynamite!!!! Missing out on todays practice wasn't such a good idea of theirs though!!!

I think Tony's a bit of a p***head, Tel was worried he may be on a bender tonight!

Congrats to Marc and Anna, they played very well and we were hoping for a Team Kent final!

Anna you now need to enter the World Crazies!

Finally big huge thanks to the Team Captain for showing me the lines and being part of Casual Force - second is amazing!!!!

It was a good competition and Boscombe should be a nice addition to the calendar going forward for the BMGA. The format of the day worked well (whoever came up with the idea is clearly a genius ) with all pairings playing 3 group matches (4 for the London group of death), followed by the top 2 in each group going forward to contest quarter finals, semi's and finals for positions 1-8 and the remainder of the group pairs doing the same but for 9 - 17th places.

With CASUAL FORCE & STABBING PAINS storming to the last 4 pairings, and the rest of the talent in the KMGC squad we will be a major force to be reckoned with at the Club Champs in October!!!

A very good day for KMGC making me very proud to be a member and a vindication of our pre-smeeth training!

We had an epic Quarter-final against TNT (I'm sure Andy will love us for managing this!). Revenge was in the air as we finished our 9 holes all square. We took them into the 11th sudden death hole to put the final dagger in! It was sweet!

Didn't put a foot wrong with an 18 scored over 9 in the semi against Ted and Jam. They just managed a few superb aces. Teds found some form suddenly - Beware..

Congrats to Sean & Marion. Our leaders did good! Shame about the all Kent final after drawing in the group stage...
