British Lions at the World Championships: Final thoughts from Bad Muender before we leave tomorrow:
A brilliant performance from the team with too many highlights to list but here are a few to whet the appetite until the full report next week.
Best team eternite round ever (and then smashed again in the final day)!!!
British Felt record beaten, then equalled, then beaten and equalled again!!
Best team felt round ever!!!!
PB's on felt for all 7 players!!!!
12th place in the team event. Having trailed Poland by 8 shots after day one, finished the event with an 84 shot lead!!!
Nearly achieved the perfect 18 on Eternite. Michael hit 15 aces in a row before the Salto (loop) decided not to play ball!!!
Great Britain minigolf really made a breakthrough this week. Huge thanks to all who supported the team before and during the event (notably our great German friend Martin Stoeckle for his coaching and guidance before the WC's.
Special thanks to Keith Kellard, our magnificent coach who spent 3 days virtually non stop out on the courses enabling all the players to focus on playing. We salute you Keith!!
And of course a final congratulations to the players - Michael, Sean, Seth, Tony, Adam, James and Scott - who along with Keith, really did put the gr-eight in Great Britain!!
