Kent Open factoid #14:

A first for the Kent Open - all play offs at the weekend will mirror the play off format from the 2011 British Open (a cumulative 4 hole play off - 9, 10, 17, 18) rather than the traditional sudden death version.

Congratulations to Seth Thomas for winning the 2011 Kent Open!

Adam Kelly came 2nd, one shot behind Seth with James Rutherford 3rd (another shot behind). Sean Homer picked up 4th place (one shot back) having won a play-off with Michael Smith after being tied after 3 rounds.

Jes Moon picked up the top Novice award along with the 'Master of Wookie Hole' prize for aceing the 8th hole (as did Sean Homer, losing out in a play-off with Jes)

Alex Pragnell won the most Improved player prize by ending with a round 10 shots lower than his first round!

Three excellent performances from Freddie, Adam and Seth. Never mind the future, they are the present! Congratulations to Seth, this will be the first win of many.'

Agreed on the three performances...but the rest is codswallop from HIOK! Even if one or two of us win the odd event here or there, Michaels dominance this season will continue through the next, and well into the future.

Anyway, who's Seth playing for next year?....sign him up perhaps....??

The penultimate report of the 2012 season, a cracking double header featuring the KIT and the KO weekends' festivities.

http://www.kentminigolfclub.co.uk/2011ko.htm

Brilliant stuff from HIOK...

Just one more event and report to come...

KMGC are on the march for back to back Club Championships - just a question of will it be the Spitfires or the Hurricanes lifting the trophy for the honour of the club on the 27th!

Great stuff yet again from the best scribe the BMGA has ever known! Michael, how on earth do you remember the snippets people say, do you carry a mini recorder? Smile If so I'll try & keep my swearing down after one of my duff rounds.
As for: Then he sealed the victory with a superb shot of great skill for an ace at Niagara Falls.
That is really stretching your journalistic licence to the limit!
lol!
BTW, a video of that particular shot has found it's way to a gleeful FB's inbox, I'm sure we'll see it again! Twisted Evil
