I've tried not to be too hopeful about the England team this time around as I hate being disappointed every time. However, as always I thought we would stuff the opposition & despite missing England's goal (nice one ITV) I thought we were gonna do 'em big time. Shame about Green's 'save', he is a good keeper but that'll crush his confidence, he'll possibly be dropped now.
I would like to see Capello explain why he played Sean Wrong-Phillips on the left instead of Joe Cole, a bewildering choice given that when SWP plays for Citeh, (which isn't often) it's down the right wing! He was carp!
I thought it was nice of Capello to waste a decent striker's place in the WC & take Emily Heskey instead too, yes, he won headers, but they went to the other side. He missed a one on one that my Nan would've easily slotted home & got caught offside so many times I nearly smashed my tv in frustration! YET, people still think he did well - gawd help us!
Apart from the players mentioned, all else were very average, we were lucky when Carragher got skinned or we'd really have something to moan about today!
Oi Capello - swap SWP for Joe Cole, drop Emily, replace ageing Carra with young Dawson, bring in Barry & play Rooney up front with Gerrard slightly behind you muppet! Either that or ditch Capello & bring in Mike Bassett, he'll do the business for us!

We'll still win the group but I hope they get at opponents more & play better!
