Line up will be as follows:

2. Andy Exall or Matthew Harding
3. Brad Shepherd
4. Chris Harding or Chris Jones
5. Gareth Holmes
6. Terry Exall
7. John Moore

2 matches are still to be decided, but at least this way we can move things on. Probably do a live link up from the course, dependant on signal...

Link for the draw:

Aiming for a 1pm draw.
Draw took place at the side of hole 4 & 5 at Strokes this afternoon (slightly later than publicised just after 1pm)

Full draw for the Quarter Finals is as follows:

3) John Moore v Chris Harding or Chris Jones
4) Gareth Holmes v Terry Exall

Do we have a date and venue yet for the most eagerly awaited of all the quarter final match ups - the KMGC's very own Andy Exall (VTK!!) vs the shining light of Planet Hastings Anthony Pope?

Be nice to get a partisan crowd along to see No.2 storm into the semis (sorry Ant!!) to join Ted, Terry and either John or Chris.

Semi Final draw will take place in the next week or so!!!!!

Myself & Anthony will be playing on Hastings seafront on Tues 20th in the evening. I've left it to Ant to decide the course - mini or Adventure, I love 'em both! I'm looking forward to a great match! Any spectators are welcome & I'll buy you a pint after over the road!

Ant is truly the shining beacon in PHCGC, the rest are awful, maybe except Trev, Nick & Jo! Smile
p.s. Sorry it's going to be after the draw but we had a wait before the nod to go ahead, we're raring to go now!

It's been a bit of a rollercoaster comp in terms of organisation so i think I will hold the draw until the Wednesday 21st - no doubt both the semis will take place on the Friday before the WCGC's.

Good luck for the 20th (not that you need it!)

I'm not taking this game lightly, Ant was very good in Smeeth Cup, matchplay can easily go wrong so keeping on my toes!
As far as the comp itself goes, I think most agree a one day format would benefit all next year with Sean's organisation skills ensuring everyone gets a few games during the day, great fun!

Good luck tonight Andy for your matchplay quarter final - promises to be a cracker as Ant is the rising star of PH. That said, I am sure we will be seeing the KMGC represented in the draw for the semis!

All the best,

Sean.

Thanks FB! I'm looking forward to a tough battle, apparently Mr Sports Psychology is going to be an interested spectator, so I may have mind games to contend with as well as Ant's rapidly improving form!
I will do my best!

Andy Storms into the semi finals with a convincing win over Ant at the mini - great stuff and thr runner up from last year is looking the favourite to go one better in 2009.

Well played Andy, unlucky Ant (take some solice in the fact that the KMGC would have all been behind you if you hadn't been facing our very own Andy Exall).

Anthony Pope

Cheers to Andy for the game - he looked solid throughout and only opened the door for me briefly which I managed to slam shut on myself the very next hole, trapping my fingers in the process.

Had my round been a strokeplay one I'd have been fairly happy with it although with me shooting no aces's, It was never going to be good enough to beat a player of Andy's calibre who is now in a strong position in the comp with Hastings hosting the semi's & the final.

Thanks once again!

Just seen the draw, logged in to watch live but it was already done! Weather looks good today, a gentle heavy sea mist by the looks of it! Nicely drawn Aceman! Smile
I take no pleasure from KO'ing Bro's but as with Pumbah last year it's kill or be killed!

Cockney Tel was so afraid if I drew him that I'd play him on the Adventure course that we did a deal to play on the Mini whoever came out first, so it's arranged for 10.45 am on Friday on Hastings Mini.
Spectators welcome! Wink

Video of the draw can be seen here

Should be a good tussle but I think we should be looking at the KMGC in the final on Saturday!!

The weather was awful today when I got to the seafront (about 1 ish) but the rain slowly died out by 2. Lots of standing water on the courses - crazy not too bad with the exception of 14 which was unplayable but the mini was suffering notably on 1, 14 & 16 which were completely unplayable and the rest were OK. Still not bad conditions to get used to if the local weekend weather forecast is to be believed (at least it will be fine on Friday for the semis!)
