Bluewater Smugglers

Had a marvellous afternoon down at Bluewater with The Rocket, 180 and HIOK.

After a warm up bit we had a couple of strokeplay rounds:

HIOK - 34, 34
FB - 34, 34
180 - 35, 35
TR - 37, not scored

Then a round robin 18 hole Matchplay competition (equivalent of phase 1 of the BMC's)

Round 1:

FB v 180 - FB won by 1
HIOK v TR - HIOK won by 1

Round 2:

FB v TR - FB won 3 & 2
HIOK v 180 - HIOK won 4 & 3

Round 3:

180 v TR - TR won by 1
HIOK v FB - tied after 18, sudden death HIOK won on 3rd extra hole

Top afternoon, the course is really bedding in nicely... roll on a KIT day before the BMC's.

Had a nice day at Bluewater with Sean, Michael, Nick and James.
I found the course very tricky and embarrassed myself a bit but I am sure with another day or two of practice I'll start to feel more comfortable on it.
Sean was superb as ever, winning all five of his single matchplays and also both his doubles.

Not sure if I can see him losing in the matchplay competition to be honest.

Was poor at the Green as well but somehow hit a 29 which pleased me up a bit.
