I've just noticed conflicting tee off times on the website. Is it a 9 or 10am start on Saturday? Also, when will they open that morning?

Have a look at the event page and there's a note regarding all of this. Perhaps you need to look for a new publicist?

To clarify, the posters are incorrect, and it's a new start time of 10am with the course opening at 8.30am?

Anyway, enough of this nonsense about timings and onto the real meat of the weekend...

27 players now registered giving us our strongest depth of field for a British Championships ever.

So as it stands:

The top 2 Juniors in the country (both KMGC may I add) will battle it out for the Junior title.

5 women will go head to head for the Womens title - the first time for many years we've had a genuine Womens Championship battle over the BC weekend.

9 Seniors will contest what could well be the battle royale in Margate for the Senior title.

And with another 11 'Men' lining up on Saturday to make up the numbers (  ) it promises to be a cracker of a weekend.

Still a couple of entries to come I believe...

And watch out for a BIG announcement from the KMGC in the next day or two regarding the BC's!!!!

British Championships update:

The deadline for entries is midday on Friday 9th May (the official practice day for the competition).

The course will be open from 10am til 6.30pm on Friday (practice is free for tournament entrants).

The course will open on Saturday, Day 1 of the Championships, at 8.30am with all practice finishing at 9.40am. The first group will tee off at 10am.

Full details of day 1 groups will be confirmed on Friday afternoon, with the details published on Facebook, Twitter and the BMGA website.

Details for Sunday will be confirmed at close of play on Saturday,
