2009 Kent Open - Sunday 1st November

Good news - because I got Ian and Louise to enter, Anna 'Fizzy' Green will be entering the KO 2009! Payment will be made on the day....

Great stuff! All we need know is a few of the London lot to decide to join us and we could be looking at a pretty big turn out (30+).

Congratulations to Nick Chitty for taking the Kent Open 2009 title, narrowly beating Marc Chapman in a 4 hole play off (ending in a sudden death ace!). Andy Exall came third, with Tim Davies & Scott Lancley sharing 4th spot.

Contrats to Adam Kelly for taking the Junior Kent Open title and Scott Lancley for taking the Aces champion crown!!

Thanks to all who entered and played in agreat spirit despite some truly shocking weather in the first 2 rounds.

Special thanks to Marion and Emily for running the event so seemlessly despite the weather and to the team at Strokes for their superb hospitality.

See you all in 2010 for the 5th anniversary Kent Open!!!!

Well done Sean, Marion & Emily, another great competition! Great win for Nick, run close by Chappers & myself. Gutted I couldn't be bothered to squeegee the 7th in R2, cost me 2 shots & a place in the playoff. Giving up the the 'No2' tag, now I'm 'The Virus', as I always have one. I felt a right Muslim last night - Shi-ite!
If the great organisation & fun day (despite the weather) doesn't persuade TK Maxx & AK47 they'd be better joining KMGC rather than London, I despair! Nice to be back at Strokes again, everyone's scores are dropping & I expect next year the KIT will see plenty of 30's & maybe even a 29, who will be the first? It can only be good for KMGC though, a lot of players are getting good!

Our two confirmed new members (hooray!!) will hopefully be debuting at the Cup Cake Classic (They have a family gathering but Adam was particularly keen to get his gran along for the day!!). With the Cup Cake Classic, The Easter Eggstravaganza, the Smeeth Cup, The KIT, the Megabowl, the Zombie Holocaust classic and the KO all on the calendar we are a hard club to beat for variety and FUN!!!

No. They never confirmed they were going to play at the KO but I think we all assumed they would be there having played at the KIT. The story on Sunday morning about being lost on the way was actually about Josh & Tim who phoned me at the course to let me know they were running late.
