Had a brilliant day in Hastings yesterday with HIOK, 180 and TR.
Michael hit an astonishing 29 with his first round of the day leaving Nick a bit shaken!
We had a fair bit of strokeplay and practise. Michael and myself took notes for the whole of the course.
Nearer the end of the day we had a fun 18 hole round robin and final.
Round 1
180 versus CO (CO won 5&4)
HIOK versus TR (HIOK won 2&1)
Round 2
CO versus TR (CO won 2&1)
HIOK versus 180 (Hiok won 4&3
Round 3
Co versus HIOK (CO won 1up)
TR versus 180 (TR won 4&3)
Final
HIOK versus CO (HIOK won at the 5th extra hole)
The course was wonderful, several really interesting holes especially 7!
The cups were embedded into the felt and took the balls really well. Meaning even I made some impressive putts. The felt was quite slow but I imagine it will get faster. James hit a 28 before the day was out and it's the kind of course where you could hit some great scores. I hit a 35 one handed and Michael incredibly dropped only 2 shots in the 11 rounds he played. Cannot wait to play it again!
