Minigolf win for Marc
Marc Chapman from Canterbury scored an emphatic 18-shot victory in the Spring Classic indoor minigolf tournament at Hither Gree, Lewisham.
Seventeen players took part ion the competition, which was played over two rounds, and Chapman won with scores of 37 and 32 for a three-under-par total of 69. His second-round four-under-par 32 was a new course record and earned him a bottle of champagne from the course owner Nick Sandqvist after becoming the first player to shoot a sub-par round since the course opened in January.
Luton's Richard Gottfried finished runner-up with 87, one shot in front of Greenhithe's Sean Homer.
Chapman is now hoping to win a place in the British team for the European Championships in Italy in August.
