All of us at the KMGC would like to wish Michael 'Hole In One Kenobi' Smith good luck as he, along with his mum and dad, join the Midlands Minigolf Club (MMGC).

Michael joined our club in 2010 and has enjoyed huge success alongside his team mates during this period.

The KMGC have gone from strength to strength over the years and established ourselves as the dominant force in British minigolf. Although this has been undeniably great for our club and all our members, we have seen a general decline in other clubs co-inciding with our rise and, having discussed this with Michael, we both agreed that the time was right for him to make a move and kick-start the much needed club rivalry in the UK, an act that he should be applauded by from all the players on both sides.

Looking at the wider picture from a BMGA point of view, these additions to the Midlands club along with new members in other clubs getting more active such as Steve 'Sheila' Lovell down at Splash Point, mean the club scene is definitely moving in the right direction and lets hope we see more and more active players getting involved in existing (and potentially new) clubs as the seasons progress.

I am sure that Michael, as the newly appointed Captain of the MMGC, will prove to be a great success alongside his new team mates and we at the KMGC look forward to some epic clashes of our respective clubs in the coming years.

All of us at the KMGC wish him luck and success in his new club (although not too much of the latter when it comes to the Club Championships!) and look forward to the ongoing rivalry and friendship we have all enjoyed both on and off the course since he became part of the KMGC in 2010.

VTM!

VMS!

and of course, as always...

VTK!

Sean

KMGC Captain
