I know Dave's been quite ill & hopefully getting over it now, I did think though the timing for new felt was a bit odd.
At least I've had a little practice on the full 18 holes then!

BTW, I just saw the weather forecast - rain Fri, Sat, Sun with higher winds on Sat & Sun, just about renders any practice I had in fine windless conditions useless!

That'll make a nice change for the WCGC's then! If only we still had the Mini course to contend with, imagine that with metal rims on holes 5 & 12!
I'm going down for a couple of hours tomorrow, hope fully the weather won't be too bad although it sounds like it could be good practice if it is. FB is an expert at arranging weather for minigolf comps, I think it's a deliberate plan!

Weather was perfect again, not even a slight wind so not really good shmactice for the weekend! Had a bit of praccy with Alien, Cricket & the Ref, with one scoring round before I left for w*rk. I got a 33 including aces at 1,2 & 18, which was a complete fluke. If I could put down 2's on 7 & 18 now I'd feel happier, they're going to be the holes that cost people shots!
Good luck all, I can't get down until about 9am so some will already be playing - have a good 'un & VTK!

Practice went very badly for me; hope it was better for you. But it was "nice" to play the course in windy conditions.

Any tips? No.  Bring your strongest mental game this weekend and you'll be fine.

Let's just hope Sky Sports aren't there. This wind with that golf ball will make us look foolish.  

Weather looking pretty good for the weekend.

Good if you like a smidgen of wind, a smattering of rain and the occasional burst of sun.

Interestingly Saturday looks quite nice at the moment (albeit a tad breezy).

Sunday looks slightly more 'testing'.

Wet overnight, few showers on and off during the morning/afternoon and perhaps most excitingly, a strengthening wind to make everything rather interesting.

I do like a good old bash around the crazy course - after 363 days of prep it's nice to chill out in the rain and the wind and enjoy the purest form of our wonderful sport.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Interesting! Are you there now enjoying the weather Marc?  

Was a really nice day actually. Heard there are 8 withdrawals so a field of 80 players now. The favourites are all looking good - especially John Moore and Craig Patterson. Going to be tight on Saturday...then we'll see what Sunday brings in terms of the wind strength! Will be impossible to tee off if it's a constant 40 mph with gusts too...so might have to be leading on Saturday to have a chance of being Champion...

What an 'incredible' weekend!

We didn't quite win - okay, so that's an understatement - but a great KMGC effort all the same. A lot of our players scored a lot of ranking points and will be shooting up the Order of Merit as a result of their efforts.  

Special congrats to:

Dave 'Ace Man' Donnelly - 16 aces, what an excellent performance.

Chris - A truly superb tournament, especially on day 1.  

Tony - Great fighting spirit and a wonderful Crazy Crazy round - he was owed one of those! Congrats on a top 6 finish and another superb result in a 1 ball tournament. Going to be very tough to beat at Sidcup in two weeks.

Marc - May The 4th Be With You - Very well played. It was great to see you back on tour and back playing so well. I have no doubt that with your determination and mental toughness you will win this tournament one day. And sorry for making the play-off so easy.  

Sean - Best finish in a major, best ever performance from The Bird?! Incredible effort from our club captain whose performances and results in the last four majors and the WAGM have been fantastic. Strengthened his grip on the number 3 ranking.  

Marion and Sean - Incredible as it sounds, their standard of running tournaments seems to be continuing to get better. Thank you both for running such a great tournament. And thanks to all the scorers, referees and everyone else who helped.

Newbies - Was great to see all the Sidcup newcomers doing so well. Special mention to Ollie - he's got an incredible temperament for someone so young.

Congratulations to everyone for surviving. We'll all be stronger for experiencing the World Crazies 2013.
