After Worthing, all the courses will seem much easier. Very Happy

And the VTK ball from the Kent Open should be okay for a lot of the holes!

I am currently pulling together some promotional material with Wroxham Barns for the forthcoming British Championships weekend (and the Friday evening pro-am).

If you are planning on taking part can you let me know ASAP either via this thread or email at chairman@minigolf.org.uk

I can then ensure you get featured in the PR build up - a guaranteed way of ensuring you get a personal entourage of fans at the Norfolk spectacular!!

Thanks in advance,

Sean.

Sean Homer - BMGA Chairman.

Would anyone who's going to be there on Friday be able to give me a lift from Hoveton and Wroxham station to the course at either 10am, 11am or midday? It'd certainly be very much appreciated and there might even be an ice cream in it for you... Wink
Cheers

That's great, cheers Sean. The trains I could get arrive at 10, 11 and 12. Which one would be best for you?

Either the 11 or 12 works for ua (ensures we have plenty of time to get to Wroxham / pick you up even if the traffic is bad).

The two day BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS was contested at Wroxham Barns in Norfork (the course having previously hosted the event in 2010) across the weekend of 11th and 12th May.

Congratulations to James Rutherford (Cambridgeshire Minigolf Club) for becoming British Champion for the second time with a superb performance including setting a new course record of 27 in round 4 of the competition.

Adam Kelly took 2nd place with Michael Smith 3rd, Sean Homer 4th and Tony Kelly 5th (all members of the kent Minigolf Club)

Full round by round results from the event can be found at http://www.bmga.co.uk/2013BC/result.htm

As well as the overall British Champion being crowned, the event also see the British Senior and British Junior titles being fought out across the 2 day, seven round event.

Sean Homer won the Senior title (making his debut in the class) with Tony Kelly 2nd and Chris Smith 3rd.

Adam Kelly won the junior title (for the 4th year in a row) with Will Donnelly 2nd and Ben Waller, making his BMGA tour debut, in 3rd place.

Brad Shepherd won the category 1 Aces prize and Alan Norman won the category 2/3 aces prize.

Sean Homer and Gareth Holmes won the team event (with the teams comprising of the players grouped together for round one of the championship).

The event also saw the Wroxham Barns Championship Charity Pro-Am event take place on the Friday evening from 6pm in association with Wroxham Barns (at the Championship course) in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support trust.

The Wroxham Barns Allstars team won the event, with James Rutherford as their pro-player and the full results can be found at http://www.bmga.co.uk/2013WBPA/result.htm#t

The BMGA would like to thank Ian Russell and all the team at Wroxham Barns for their superb hospitality over the weekend, all of the players who took part across both events and to Marion Homer, the tournament Director and Brenda Smith for running the Hole In One Challenge.

Next event: The World Adventure Golf Masters in Hastings on June 15th and 16th

Well played everyone - looks like you were outclassed by James in the end.

Still...a Senior and a Junior Champion in the bag represents a fine weekend for the club.
