Couple of questions after an enjoyable weekend.

I'm going to forego cricket and join in the World Adventure Golf Masters on 15/16 June as I can't wait until September to play again.

A few questions

- Do people stay over on Friday and Saturday? Is there a KMGC recommended guest house in Hastings?

- Is it an own ball tournament - I assume so. I know ball choice is secondary to skill, but it does ball selection does seem to save a shot or two a round. I used a Nifo 145 on Sunday when I needed bounce (it worked well when I got used to it, eg on the 18th), can anyone recommend a slightly smaller ball which is equally bouncy.

Cheers all.

The White Rock Hotel are hosting the opening and closing ceremonies and offer a discounted rate for anyone playing in the WAGM (and staying for 2 or more nights). It's a nice hotel and does a crackng breakfast!!

Otherwise people stay in the Travelodge or one or two of the B&B's on the seafront (don't know the names as I always stay at the White Rock).

And yes, you can use any balls you want at the WAGM as long as they are WMF approved (i.e. not standard course balls)

It's a good ball for the majority of holes - not ideal for a few (4, 6 and 8 spring to mind) but pretty good for any hole where you are going for a direct shot or with minimal rebound required. Be good to have a KMGC day in Hastings perhaps one weekend in early June to get some club practice given the experience a lot of us have on the Pirate Course.

I would (of course!) recommend the Marc Chapman GBRO 2011 Ball of Fame.

With it's mid-bounce, soft feel and decent weight it is a great choice for most holes.

Hi all,

I'm planning to spend this weekend at the Pirate course in preparation for the WAGM.
So if anyone is around to play some rounds or work on some lines I'd appreciate the company.

Hello all!

I'm pulling together stuff for the WAGM at the moment (particularly the opening & closing ceremonies and team bits) so if you are planning on playing but haven't confirmed with me yet can you let me know asap.

Also should be able to uodate on practice day(s) in the next day or two.

Cheers,

Sean.
