2012 British Matchplay Championship - Lost Island Encounter, Sidcup

7 places left - if you know anyone that wants to get involved then give them a push ASAP (not too fussed if we get the additional 7, but ideally need 3 more players to make the organising a bit easier!!).

Had one extra player sign up but just had a couple of players pull out - really need 1 more player to even up the draw.

Did a sample draw tonight and a few interesting groups came out:

Tony, Marc and Michael all in the same group

Andy, James and Brad all in the same group

And in a nod to my child beating 2010 victory run my group saw me line up with Adam, Freddie and Will!

Roll on Saturday for the real thing

They didn't despite a playoff
Congratulations to Michael, once again a great win, he left Adam with a difficult choice on 17 but I reckon he made the right decision. A smidgen away from going to the lottery that is H18 level & anything could have occurred.
After seeing the draw & not picking up a putter for months I'm not surprised I didn't get out of the group but had good games with pleasant people all day so I still enjoyed it, if Will hadn't reminded me about 10 times that I should've got out of the group I'd have been happier though but that's youth for you! A nice day in hot sunshine, well done to Sean & Marion too, good performances from both as well as organising - great stuff!

Great report. I must admit though my memory deceived me, I missed hole 2 against Adam, the only time it particularly mattered! So only got it 5/6.
The ace total was correct however and I imagine was near enough the best of the day?
Well played Michael and Adam and all in the top 8. Was one of my most enjoyable tournaments in a while.
