The BMGA tour moves to the indoor Swedish Felt course in Hither Green for the first major of the year, the 2011 British Championships.
As well as the main championship title, the womens, seniors and junior British title will also be contested (provided there are a minimum of 3 entrants in each category).
With a prize fund in excess of £500 this promises to be a terrific event at the end of the month (with prize money for top players, aces champion, Category 2 aces champion, novices and also top players in the Category 2 entries).
Entry costs £25 per player (£15 for under 18's) with all players contesting 7 rounds of strokeplay (4 rounds on Saturday and 3 rounds on Sunday – there is no cut in the British Championships).
The course is offering a £10 practice day rate for BMGA tour members in 2011 and details of the event, including an application form can be found at http://www.minigolf.org.uk/joomla/index.php?view=details&id=54&option=com_eventlist&Itemid=56.
To help with the planning and the prize fund split can players let me know ASAP via chairman@minigolf.org.uk or via reply to this thread, etc if you are planning to take part in the event - payment can be made in advance or at the course on Friday or Sat before tee-off.
A list of entrants can be found at http://www.minigolf.org.uk/joomla/index.php?option=com_eventlist&view=details&id=54&Itemid=56
