Cheers from all the team.

Everyone arrived without any problems - we've had the first of many mini tournaments - The Tampere reunion classic between the old 2008 Nations Cup players.

Course putters and ball only (albeint nice ones!) on the Beton course (no practice).

The KMGC now hold that title, results as follows:

1) Freebird - 38
2) Double Trouble and Squire - 49
3) Coach - 52

The rest of the squad arrived half way around the course.

All looking forward to tomorrow (8am start - 7am UK!!!) and our coaches have also just arrived in Stockholm.

Great Britain secure their first ever international point at the WMF Nations Cup in Stockholm.

We didn't make the semi's but well played all of the team - it was an honour to play alongside everyone as part of the squad. Some great scores, loads of PB's and cracking improvements on course that are regarded as a couple of the toughest tests in terms of Beton & Eternite.

As well as all the player plaudits (see the comments previous) we must doff our hats and say a MASSIVE congratulations and thanks to our outstanding coaches across the week - our splendid Swedish friends Björn and Eirik - I know I echo the thoughts of all the team in recognising the enormous contribution to individual and team successes. We couldn't have done any of this without their guidance, great humour and patience.

Loads of photos and maybe even a film will follow in due course... but for now, from Sweden, Till nästa tid, Hej då!

OMG...how tired am I?!! How Tony managed to get to work this morning is crazy!!

Loved the whole experience and if there is anyway I can learn how to play Eternit, I will gladly play for Queen and country again!!

Really enjoyed the KMGC tour overseas - and what an brill result - a point - first time ever, PBs left right and centre, and TK Maxx gets a superb 24...VTK!!!

Now to knuckle down and focus on The Green and the British Champs...! Very Happy

Great Britain player Results and stats from the Nations Cup.

1) GBR Beton Championship - http://www.bmga.co.uk/results/2011/beton11/result.htm

2) GBR Eternite Championship - http://www.bmga.co.uk/results/2011/eternite11/result.htm

3) Overall combined from the 8 rounds across Eternite and Beton - http://www.bmga.co.uk/results/2011/nc11/result.htm

As you can see there are some terrific individual performances. There are also some really interesting stats when you look at the lane by lane statistics (click on the Lane statistics tab, then click on the specific hole to see the individual rankings per hole). There are a number of perfect holes shot (both on Beton and Eternite) where players have a hole average of 1.00 (4 straight aces!).

Some 'mugshots' of the players in official kit will be posted shortly... along with a few action shots from practice and the event!!!

Are you all sitting comfortably?

Do you have a coffee / strong drink to hand?

Is the phone off the hook and no-one around to disturb you?

If so, then you are ready to dive into the uber-report of the KMGC (and honourary guests) at the Nations Cup:

http://www.kentminigolfclub.co.uk/2011nc.htm

A classic tome from HIOK - well would you expect anything less? - with a small smattering of screen shots from the movie of the trip currently in post production!!!

See you all soon.
