Well done to all for being considered for the team,
I regret not being able to travel but will be a bit sad that I can't play in the WMF Tournament if that is the case!
Perhaps (like others) I could've said I was available then only play in Hastings?

I need to clarify this point before unfair and untrue comments are made.

That is not the case - the selection policy document is very clear. Players must commit to at least 2 events, then we select the Teams for each event from the poule of players.

Freddie Blackburn-Shaw is playing in WAGM as we filled the max quota of Men and Senior Men player categories. Seth Thomas is not part of the Team, but playing as an individual in the Junior category.

All other players in the GB teams at WAGM are playing in at least the NC/WMC.

Andy, I sent the following out in the latest newsletter and anyone who is interested in playing at the WAGM needs to contact me (via chairman@minigolf.org.uk) - can't guarantee anything as it is dependant on there being any spaces available after the provisional International cut-off (31st March):

WORLD ADVENTURE GOLF MASTERS
– 13th / 14th May (Hastings). This is the first World Minigolf Federation event to be hosted in the UK and will see Great Britain competing against players from across the globe. Entries are initially restricted to a maximum number of players for each nation, by invitation through the relevant National Organisation and our Great Britain squad, who will be taking part in the Nations Cup and World Championships in Sweden later in the year, are already gearing up for this competition (full details of our international teams for 2011 will be announced shortly). On April 1st I will know if there are any places available for general entry for other UK players (the International entry cut-off date is March 31st). Entry will cost £50 per player (which includes practice on Weds & Thurs before the event and the official Opening and Closing ceremonies/party!) for the 2 day event – 4 rounds on Friday & 2 - 3 rounds on Saturday dependant on position. Any Tour Pro player not currently selected for the 2011 Great Britain team that is interested in taking part in the event needs to contact me before the March cut off date. If there are spaces available at this point I will contact players accordingly (please note: all applications for the event will be made via the BMGA – the event is not open to general entries).

Sean.

Sean.

Thanks Sean, I apologise for not reading the final paragraph well enough to take it in. I have a feeling it's not going to be well supported by foreign players due to date clashes.
