Well done to all KMGC players, a fine show of strength yet again- very tough close competition but so many in the final 18!
Nice to catch Ant & Pet in the middle of trying to poach our top junior player too! Smile
Well done Marion, Emily & Sean on another triumph of organisation, much appreciated by all as always!
Unusual weather too, seriously tropical compared to previous years, such a shame! You have yet to experience 40mph wind & driving rain HIOK! Very Happy
The WCGC's are always fun but very intense, that last hole of the final group was incredible the tension was clear to see, my final with Tim & Ted was great fun but those Crazy Crazy rules are not good for my old ticker.
Great performance all weekend Michael, sooo consistent, closely followed by Marc, who like myself a dodgy round cost dear. Quality play from round three on though Force! Wink
Whatever happens next year ie 1 course or 2, (my preference would be Adv & Crazy) it'll be fine yet again!
One final note, well done Chris, a true Champion & we could all see what it meant!
VTK!

cheers cheers cheers

Well played everyone. We got the 7 in the top 17 we wanted.

As always thanks to Sean and Marion for all your hard work. And well played Sean for a decent sixth round to make the top 18.

Adam and Scott did very well to make the top 18 for the first time. Andy prooved again what a great player he is to get 6th and hold off Tim and Ted in the last round. And thank you very much for NWP, Mr X. That will either help me improve my minigolf or be the world's best cure for insomnia. Wink

Marc did superbly well to get 4th and his highest finish in a major after being +1 for rounds 1 and 2. That was a great effort. Really hope you end the year as British number 1. Whatever happens you've had an incredible season.

If we had an award for top KMGC performance of the week, it would have to go to Tony. To get tied 8th or 9th when difference between rounds is taken into account is a great achievement, particularly with producing such a great sixth round under pressure. You beat a lot of top players. If you just believe in yourself a little more you will easily establish yourself in the top 10 next year. Very well played.

Personally I'm thrilled to finish 3rd, 4th and 3rd in the majors this year. I'm thrilled with -26. Chris and Peter have taken British Minigolf to a new level with their play this weekend. And like everyone else, as much as Peter is a great guy - except when he and a couple of others are ganging up on Marc in the other forum or attempting to 'tempt' Britain's best junior away from us - I'm thrilled Chris pulled off the win. Thank goodness he doesn't play like that every week. Oh yeah, he does play like that every week. Never mind. A great champion.

It was another great weekend. We keep getting stronger. Between us, let's see if Team Kent can take the final 4 titles of the year.

Thanks again and well played everyone. See you all for what will no doubt be an epic KIT final and Kent open weekend.

Thank you Michael for your generous words but I think you were the KMGC star of the weekend. To drop shots on just three holes out of 126 is a remarkable achievement and they were all in the same round which means that you played six 'clean' rounds out of seven. Incredible. It is only a matter of time until you win your first major.

I was delighted with my performance but I wouldn't have done it without the support and encouragement of Team Kent this year. You have all helped me to improve my game and events like the Fake Crazies make such a difference in terms of preparation. I nearly didn't come to the Fake Crazies as I was supposed to be on a cricket umpiring course but I am so glad that I did. And it didn't matter as I went to day two of the course and still managed to pass the exam Very Happy

I never really believed that we would get 7 into the final round but we did it and it was great to see all those black shirts heading out together on Sunday afternoon. It was good enough to be playing in the final 18 but to have Sean and Adam for partners was the icing on the cake.

See you on the 13th - I should have my putter back by then Rolling Eyes

VTK!

Cheers to the Kent players I had rounds with - Adam, Michael (future nailed-on winner!), Chappers and Andy. Great spirit in each round and I even accept Chappers had no choice but to knock off me off the plateau on the 14th!

Michael - only 3 holes over par all weekend. Wow.
