Wahey - Number 1! I hope the KMGC steer well clear of each other in the draw!

Me too - with 9 out of the 32 coming from the club odds are that there will be one KMGC head to head - lets hope we see 9 of us in the top 16 after the first round!!!!

FB is right. There's almost certainly going to be 1 or 2 KMGC head to head in round 1.

Is there a re-draw after every round or is it World Cup style where the whole draw is done in advance for the later rounds?

See you all tomorrow.

Redraw each round HIO! I believe each of the winners goes into a pool for the draw each round so that we should have 1st to 32nd places worked out at the end. FB worked it out & if it goes well it'll be excellent fun!

Mind you, hope for a good draw in the 1st round, I am! lol!

It's going to be a blast.

I have just tried out the link and a trial draw using the balls, etc to make sure everything worked OK and a couple of cracking ties came out... the full KMGC 'what might have been' ties as follows:

Match 3 - TK MAX v Paul Johnson
Match 6 - Chris Harding v FREEBIRD
Match 8 - Rich Skeggs v THE FORCE
Match 9 - DONKEY GRINGO v Martin Robertson
Match 11 - AK47 v Ruth Bullin
Match 12 - HOLE IN ONE KENOBI v HARRY PUTTER
Match 13 - Nick Chitty v DOUBLE TROUBLE
Match 15 - MR X v Tim Davies

As you can see, some 'interesting' matches - roll on 3pm tomorrow for the real deal... cheers

Congrats Sean - have u heard the word...now we have! Also a big shout out to all my KMGC team mates - a fantastic showing of 4 out the Top 8 places and the third KMGC winner on tour this year! We are getting there - the serious part of the season is about to begin...let's clean up!

See you all at Hither Green for the 2010 London Open!

cheers

My tip: Michael is next to win or very soon! Wink KMGC has a real depth of talent now, it's no surprise that PH want to play SPMGC in the Smeeth Cup now, it's called 'running scared'.

Well done everyone especially Sean, whose consistency in spite of running the tournaments is almost beyond belief.

I don't have the figures in front of me but I believe Team Kent managed about 23 victories in the five rounds so that is a great effort. If a KMGC member does not win at Hither Green, I'll eat my hat (though it is indoors so I won't be wearing one)!

I'm not sure about SP and PH running scared. They don't seem to like KMGC too much - I wonder why? There's a story in there somewhere. They're crafty though. Both of the above clubs did invite me to transfer from KMGC and join them. I believe that's called tapping up!

And well played Marc against me in that first round. I'm sorry I made it so easy for you early on but I'm glad I made you Ace the Bridge of Sighs to win. That was a great putt to hole under pressure. I hate losing but there's no better way to lose a match than on a shot like that.

See you all soon.
Wink

Great post FB, very interesting to see some surprise results! I forgot to add my commiserations to Scott for the unluckiest sudden death playoff result. I just looked over in time to see Brad tee off, Scott's face when Brad flukily aced that hole was a picture - unlucky mate! As we all know, Brad went on to do very well, that could've easily been you! Wink

Cheer Andy, Did my face look anything like this? pale affraid

Heh I think that course threw up alot of those moments.... Example, Tim winning a the volcanoe hole with a 6 after Normski went second and couldn't find the hole, Priceless!

Certainly alot of individual round stories to tell of and great presure experience gained by everyone.
