PostSubject: The Return Of The Eggstravaganza!!!!   Wed Mar 24, 2010 7:07 pm

Here comes another one....

Yes it's back - THE 2010 KMGC EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA!!

Freebird will be back to try and hold onto his title against the might of the KMGC and selected guests... but there is a twist... for 2010 I am keen to hold the event at THE GREEN.

Having had a chat with Nick & Jo (and following ongoing discussions with Nick at the course) we are provisionally looking at a weekday evening after Easter week - notably Wednesday 14th April - probably from about 6pm onwards.

Nick has said that he'd be happy to close the course for our exclusive use for the evening - could be a great night.

Let me know what you think and if you can make it - I can then put the wheels in motion.

I'm on the right shift so unless my wife's got anything lined up already I'm in! (I'll check later) Wink

Anyone else up for this?

Would like to confirm with Nick & Jo (and Nick) asap - be nice to get a good turn out. Might well be going over to the Green tomorrow afternoon for a few rounds - there are some London & Midlands interlopers apparently turning up so be good to give them a lesson in how to play Swedish Felt the KMGC way! Prob be there from midday ish (the course is open from 11).

Ok. I was confirmed but now they've moved the Spurs v Arsenal game to Wed 14th @ 8pm.
So count me out now unless it moves to another evening. Sorry folks!

Yup. Bugger. Oh well looks like I'll be able to sell the ticket at an inflated price to my dad - he was there in 1991 so not such a bad thing (coming from 1-0 down & gazza's knee!).

Has the player who Gazza caught in the chest with his tackle recovered yet? Smile
And what about that semi final goal? Never a ball better struck! bounce bounce bounce

PostSubject: Re: The Return Of The Eggstravaganza!!!!   Sat Apr 10, 2010 12:19 pm

The competition this year will be taking place at The Green in Hither Green (SE13 6UR) on Wednesday evening (14th April). We are aiming to tee off the competition (which will be across 2 rounds of the course in HARD mode) around 7pm so that we can ensure we have the time to not only play out the KMGC EE but also an eagerly awaiting matchplay tie between Mr X & Freebird!

KMGC members (and our illustrious guests) can take advantage of a £10 rate for the day - the course is open from 1pm so you can turn up whenever you want to get some much needed practice - just make sure you let the staff know you are there to play in the Eggstravaganza (I will be there from about 6pm - traffic permitting!).

If you can let me know either via return email or here if you can make it that would be appreciated so that I can sort out some scorecards and suitably top class prizes for the night (we should have a good turnout and it promises to be another great event - Nick the course owner has let me know that we might have a bit of an audience as he is plugging the competition and the club to his local players and a few are keen to come and see what we are all about!!).

For those of you who can't recall who won last year, for a reminder of who took the title last year click the link below:

http://www.kentminigolfclub.co.uk/Easter%20Eggstravaganza%202009.htm

This event will also form part of the KIT for 2010 - full details of this years competition can be found at http://www.kentminigolfclub.co.uk/Kent%20Invitational%20Tournament%202010.htm - we are focussing on courses that are hosting key events this year (such as the British Open, WCGC's and the British Matchplay Competition) to give the KMGC a real edge when it comes to taking on the best of the rest at these competitions. The first KIT event of 2010 took place last Monday at White Rock / Planet Hastings / Clambers as the Duel On The Felt was fought out (congrats to Birthday boy, Marc 'The Force' Chapman for takling the honours on the day).

Hopefully we will see you all on Wednesday!

Cheers,

Sean.

Should be a great evening, I'll be there approx 6.30, Trev's arriving about the same time so isn't expecting to do much having never played there!
He said it'll be for 'experience'...Hmmm! Twisted Evil
